CANTON, Ohio — A 17-year-old boy who went missing after a carjacking and robbery in Canton early Friday morning has been found.
Police said Alan Strelecki was found by a family member in the 600 block of Fulton Road NW, just before 10 a.m. He was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Canton Police Captain Dave Davis says Strelecki was left unconscious in the street after three men approached him and two other friends in their car in the 1100 block of Cleveland Avenue, at around 2:40 a.m.
The suspects allegedly robbed the teens at gunpoint, then struck Strelecki in the head with a gun and took off, with his two friends still in the car.
Davis says the robbers then drove the two carjacked teens to a nearby ATM and forced them to withdrawal money. A short time later, they were released in the area of Georgetown and Trumph, where they called 911.
Both teens were uninjured.
Officers searched for Alan Strelecki for several hours until he was located Friday morning.
Meanwhile, Canton police are looking for the stolen vehicle which is described as a 1999 grey, four-door Buick Century, with Ohio license plate number: CCU6432. A detailed description of the suspects was not immediately available.
