FAIRLAWN, Ohio — A man used a note on a crumpled napkin to rob a register at Walmart, according to police.
Around 1 a.m. on April 5, an employee working the cash register noticed a man in line kept letting other customers go ahead of him until he was the only one left.
The man walked to the register and pulled a crumpled napkin out of his coat pocket that read “Act normal. Empty the drawer quietly.”
The employee handed him $762 from the register. She asked the suspect if he wanted the change too, but the man took off.
There was no weapon or vehicle seen during the robbery, according to police.
